NDIS – THERAPEUTIC SUPPORT - 0128
COUNSELLING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY
PROVIDER: 4-GARJG95

The Psychotherapy Counselling Clinic is a registered NDIS provider of positive behaviour support therapy using psychotherapy/counselling for NDIS-registered participants.

We apply person-centred values in consideration of our clients during our counselling and psychotherapy sessions. In addition, we make home and school visits to assist our clients that are limited with travel to our clinic.

We welcome clients and participants to the clinic for face-to-face appointments and if they prefer, we can facilitate online telehealth.

Behaviour support therapists, counsellors and psychotherapists support NDIS participants, children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults in the Victorian community and the broader community of Australia with disorders such as:

  • Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder AD(H)D
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Stress, depression, anxiety, and panic attacks
  • Bipolar

Therapeutic Support includes counsellors, psychotherapists and therapists from a multidisciplinary allied health professional team. Counsellors and psychotherapists support clients with individual and group counselling. This may also include community engagement support to empower participants and improve interactions with their social networks.

Therapists support clients and NDIS participants with traditional therapies that help individuals with mental health behaviour and physical and emotional well-being. Additionally, activities such as deep-breathing exercises and mindfulness bring relief from depression and anxiety. Reducing irritability and restlessness allows the client to relax.

Similarly, coupled with traditional therapeutical approaches, clients can gain from mindfulness through ‘crafting activities’, which reduces clients’ and participants’ anxiety and builds self-esteem, gives a sense of purpose and more. Crafting develops interpersonal skills, manages behaviour, and reduces stress and the impacts of trauma, allowing clients to achieve their goals that may have otherwise been impossible.
